MISFIREミスファイヤー is an independent manga and street-wear brand created, written and illustrated by Nathan Lewis. Inspired by Japanese car culture, anime, arcade racing, and those Saturday morning cartoons we all love, MISFIRE blends high-energy storytelling with original characters, JDM cars, and a city where spark plugs run the show!
At the center of the story is Sparki, an optimistic robot who dreams bigger than the world around them. From late-night touge runs to underground racing crews and larger-than-life villains, every chapter is built around the idea that even the smallest spark can ignite something incredible.

I'm Nathan Lewis, the creator of MISFIRE!
By day, I work in the aviation industry leading teams and solving operational challenges. By night, I'm writing stories, illustrating characters, designing merchandise, and bringing the world of MISFIRE to life one plug at a time.
As a husband, father of two, and lifelong fan of Japanese culture, cars, anime, manga, cartoons, comics, and video games, I've always dreamed of creating a world that captures the same excitement and inspiration I've found in the cartoons I grew up with.
MISFIRE is more than a comic to me. It's a universe built from years of ideas, sketches, late nights, and a belief that anything is possible as long as you don't give up! My vision is to grow MISFIRE into a universe that fans can experience through manga, animation, apparel, collectibles, and even games!
